This is Tennilleas first collection, in which she copes with the ups and downs in her life. All of her work has been inspired from her own experiences. Through poetry, Tennille communicates and expresses her passionate feelings about running, love, and Hawaii, as well as her stubborn feelings about distrust and second chances. She shares poems reflecting on everything from a troubled childhood, the loss of friends and family, and most importantly the loves sheas found. Tennille was influenced to write by her father, Patrick, who throughout his life wrote her mom, Susan, poems. Through her poetry, Tennille has evolved into a strong-willed, determined, young woman. Sometimes learning the hard way the meanings behind lifeas lessons, Tennille gives her honest feelings and fears. Her collection covers the past 15 years, her teens through 20s.
