There are strong Native American characters like the Cherokee philosopher Isaiah Little Wolf, the diminutive but fierce Prairie Dog, proud Grey Eagle, and the indomitable Sioux Warrior, Black Elk, whose life and spirit seems perpetually connected to Boltas through some powerful and mysterious force.
