Sweethearts forever, Matty and Danny were married as soon as they graduated from high school. Their life couldn't have been better until he went off to fight a war. Because of that, Danny's homecoming turned into a terrible mess, then he was sent to Death Row. Unable to stay in their hometown, Matty went to St. Louis where she became involved with the mob. Danny's sentence was commuted, and after two years in prison he returned home. But home wasn't there anymore. While hitchhiking west, he caught a ride with Joyce, who was running from the mob. They roamed the western mountains until she was shot. Wanting vengeance, Danny went to St. Louis where he found Matty, and together they brought the mob down.
