A fateful accident strands unpublished author Johnnie Lappdog in two overlapping dimensions. In one, he is grateful to be alive; in the other, he suffers from Locked-In Syndrome, or coma with consciousness. Known as Nanoman, the comatose Johnnie becomes the star of a reality TV show where his organs are harvested for needy recipients. Meanwhile, his grateful counterpart suffers each time the ailing twin donates his body assets.
