Tim Adams sat in his office thinking about his journey some twenty five years ago and how it had changed his life, and the lives of so many others. His great journey was to have been a drive across the county. All the way to California. But, a stop over, in motel 6 near St. Louis, Missouri had changed his plans and life. Now, twenty five years later, he still hadn't made it to California. He smiled as he thought how destiny had brought him to that motel and allowed him to meet the love of his life. He and Mary had been in love from the first time they met and now at this stage in their lives, their love was as strong as ever. Middy was a super star, but still their special angel. A true gift from God. Many of the people that influenced their lives were now gone. His thoughts went back to Mary's mom, Miss Adaline Simpson. Her friend Aunt Jane. Tim remembered giving the eulogy for his friend, Aunt Jane. Spencer Jones. Ole Spencer had been a good man and worked hard for very little, but his last years were good for him. The angry face of Mildred Buckner at their first meeting. Then, seeing her with tears in her eyes as she said, "Mildred ain't such a bad name." The few minutes they spent with Jane Jones. Her pain and fear had stayed in Tim's memory, and would always. He though of the moment he saw Mary, holding the tiny baby girl, taking it's first breath. The feeling of being part of a miracle. Tim sat with his eyes closed and said a silent prayer to God, thanking him for his blessings and the many people that had touched his life. This had truly been, "A Life Changing Journey."
