A miraculous oneness of 1960 American counterculture, Zen, art and tech.
Special. Enlightened. Binary.
Straightforward. Restrained. Passionate.
The pirate against authority.
The rebel against the status quo.
The MythBuster.
He is THE product guy.
And his best product is not any Mac or iPhone,
but Apple itself:
Apple as a team or as a cult.
The particularly interesting part is how he grew up, knowing he is adopted. Many brilliant guys touched his life. Following his intuition he did what he loved. His hand is alway busy, feet always swift. He has "a strong foundation when the wind of changes shift". He is, Forever Young.
It's shocking to see him standing unprecedentedly in the intersection of liberal arts & tech, and also in the intersection of Zen Buddhism & entrepreneurship!* He do have a beginner's mind, ready to conceive of and receive anything. He likes to control the whole experience, making Apple ride on a vertically integrated business model. He appreciates techniques, simplicity and beauty that most people don't even notice.
And "One More Thing": oh the man got great taste!
* Sorry to use big words. My fault.
