This work contains the main lectures presented at the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (SSIEM), Edinburgh, UK, 1994, the theme of which was "Treatment and Outcome". Topics discussed include: Tyrosinaemia, cystinosis, treatment of several diseases by bone marrow transplantation, adrenoleukodystrophy, propionic and methylmalonic acidaemia, hepatic glycogen storage diseases, and disorders of mitochondrial long-chain fatty acid oxidation. There was also a workshop on cystic fibrosis.
