Lars has it all: a crummy one bedroom apartment in Boston, a nonexistent family life, a severe drinking problem, uncontrollable nervous ticks, and a desperate need to belong. He's a loner, a boozer, and a loser. Everything has gone wrong with his life ever since the death of his mother, when he was eight.
