When Brendan McPhelan and his ill-tempered wife begin highly contentious divorce proceedings, Brendan's only goal is to get custody of his children. Brendan ingeniously invents the Dakapa Adventurers Club as a way to spend more time with his kids. Then the real adventure begins. "The chapter had as many activities as necessary and they were always set up at times when I would not otherwise have seen the kids. The meetings were held in my apartment and we used the time to do school work or play games or just sit around and talk. The trips were the best part.
