A ceremony was promptly held at Paihia on the northeast coast of the North Island, on what is now known as the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. This event occured in 1840. Exactly 116 years later Michael Glock was born in Wellington, and "voila" the tall tales began. Lyall Bay, red borscht and a hunt for wisdom, it all happened at Oma's house.
