内容简介:
This study addresses women writers of the 16th century in England, using examples from all genres, including religious works, letters, journals, poetry, fiction and translation. It also examines books on child care. Drawing on original material, the book attempts to further the debate about women as writers within the period, comparing them with their male counterparts where appropriate. The women writers are grouped in an arrangement according to the genre in which they wrote. On-the-page annotation is a feature of this book, together with headnotes to aid reading.
