After my first book, Spontaneous Poetic Expressions (of a Secret Poet), was accepted for publication, I realized there were still many feelings remaining in me to be written about. The overwhelming support from my family and friends inspired me to put these new poems into writing. I have been fortunate to experience different people and environments or have had friends who have shared their pictures and experiences with me. These gifts of knowledge have been thought-provoking and motivated me to write them down so others can share them. Born and living in one place like the Detroit area has never hindered my desire or dreams to visit or learn about other places and people. During my time in the Army, my travels and in my daily life, I have met many wonderful people and seen many beautiful sights. I feel blessed to have lived long enough and stayed healthy enough to meet those people and see those sights. To me life has a purpose and somewhere, somehow there is a reason and a beauty in almost everything. All we have to do is look and see it. Since my first book I have met many others who also write about their feelings and like I myself was, they too are secret poets. Their writings are no less important or any less valuable and I encourage them to take a chance and follow their dreams as I have. They are the readers and believers who made the world a better place.
