It would seem that in these areas, the exhortation to get real does not apply. The reason, of course, is because in regards to the paranormal, the pragmatists donat know what real actually is. The primary focus of this science-fiction novel is the exploration of reality. It follows the emotional and intellectual struggles of a well-educated family that encounters phenomena not explainable by physical laws.
