The two main characters in this book are a man who has come to realize his life is not what he had intended. He comes to meet a child who shows him he has inner power to overcome any obstacle life may throw his way. The adult has to admit that the young boy uses so much of his childhood strength to pull through so much sorrow. He begins to admire him for his perseverance and will to survive. This book deals with strong issues such as depression, rape, abuse, and self-destruction. The intent for this book is to help others deal with harsh events in their own life and find the strength to own the hatred, fear and weakness they blame on others.
