While handling a right-to-die case, attorney Margaret Jacobi-Benson finds herself in similar circumstances. During a violent argument, her husband tries to kill her, leaving her with massive brain damage. Fearing that she might regain sensibility and accuse him of attempted murder, he petitions the court to discontinue life support.
