Today, our once great and powerful nation lies broken and bleeding. We have no sense of self. America the beautiful lies face first in the mud and a pool of blood. It is not completely our own, but mixed with those who have fought with us in our insanity. This is not a work of protest poems. War is sometimes a necessity, if one holds too fast to ideals that promote such foolishness. However, it is a collection of works designed to make the reader think, feel, and maybe see everything from a different point of view. For through the readeras eyes, the writeras dream is made real. Outside, night falls upon a great nation. There is no way to stop the coming darkness. The only question left to ask is: What will the dawn bring?
