I have always enjoyed writing poems. Down through the years, I have written a few now and then. I was temporarily out of work, so I decided to write a small book of poems. I usually write about what's on my mind. The main reason for this book is that I felt as though I had not accomplished very much in my lifetime. I often think of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His life was spent for all mankind, so I wrote a lot of poems about him and his teachings. Some of the other poems are just for fun. A person may grow old but our minds still remember things from years gone by. I wrote a few poems trying to win a poetry contest. I never won a contest, but the poetry publishers wanted to publish the poems I wrote. I'd write a poem now and then, and my wife would take them to work with her. Her friends seemed to enjoy the poems and suggested I should write a book. So I did. I hope everyone will enjoy the book-Joe Wray
