Prelude to the Passages (Past Ages) God is our 1st Love because God is Love but He is a Jealous God. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world being created in His image. So when we get out of order, the Lord sends out lightening bolts to get our attention and they bounce off of each other. It wakes us up, shakes us up, to give us a jump-start to the true desires of our hearts - to give and receive the type of love God planned for us to have and enjoy. First we have to learn of God's love (agape) where He so loved us in this world that He gave His only begotten Son. Accepting Him loving us as we are (unconditionally) - opposite of the world's outward look - so that we can love ourselves enough to take better care of our temples. The house we are entrusted with to hold the Holy Spirit (by choice) and be able to discern what is or isn't good for our body, soul, and mind. As long as we live, we will be tested by temptation, burned by the fire, coming out as pure gold or a tarnished victim of resentment but going through it all. Love heals all wounds, making us new creatures in the sight of God after being refreshed by the cooling waters. "It's better to have loved at all than never to have loved at all."
