内容简介:
The Longing follows a young woman's search for everlasting love. Set in the idealistic 1950''s, her search takes her from Minnesota to Rome, through the destruction of a family, the death of a loved one, a broken romance, and political violence to self revelation and, finally, spiritual peace. The novel''s main characters are: Denise Markay, who works in public relations at the Midwest Art Institute; her charismatic and unfaithful father, an Art History professor; her best girlfriend, Karin, a beautiful, but insecure, aspiring model; and the two men in their lives, Brian Murray and Mickey McMahon, a womanizer.
