Born in 1972, Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, Rob grew up in a broken home; his parents divorced when he was four years old. Eventually moving to the Philadelphia area in 1987, Rob was entering his high school years when he began writing songs on guitar. After graduating, he traveled numerous places, encountering a variety of challenging situations which sparked his poetic muse and song-writing imagination. One of the most influential of those experiences was communal living at Jesus People USA in Chicago's Uptown, where he lived with a bunch of artists, musicians, and eccentrics, serving the area's homeless community. He would spend much of his free time playing at open-microphone venues and frequenting local coffeehouses, including the infamous Don's Coffee Club. The material in this book is collective of Rob's abstract thoughts and life experiences, much of it originally penned as song lyrics. His unique perspectives are on display, including his spiritual journey and struggle through the confines of conventional Christianity. Recently adopting Messianic Judaism, he now embraces a more Torah-observant lifestyle, maintaining his convictions that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah. He is presently residing in Knoxville, Tennessee, with his wife Samantha, where they attend a local Beit Midrash.
