Garp, the Great is the tale of a bookkeeper who inherits Mylaras Horn, which is the horn of a black unicorn and is the most powerful magical source known to man, wizard, gnome, or elf. A wizard comes to teach Garp the control of magic; however, due to circumstances learned after his arrival, he must now take Garp to his home city to be trained by the gnomes. Remdar, also known as The Darklord, has once again spawned an army of goblins and trolls, and he uses ghouls to lead them in his third attempt to conquer the civilizations. Due to an unexpected turn of events, Garp must now defeat Remdar even before his proper training in the uses of magic. After being captured, disarmed, and tortured, Garp defeats him with a non-magical act that evokes the power of Mylaras Horn
