As you travel through these pages, it is my hope that you will open your heart and mind to the world of loss that comes from losing a child. It is like no other place you will ever visit unless you have experienced the loss firsthand. If you have, I hope something you read here will ease your pain. If you havenat, it is my hope you will better understand those of us who have. Journey with me to the place I believe all children who have left this life have moved on to: a better place; a safer place; and a place filled only with love, angel hugs, and butterfly kisses. As you travel with me through my memories, through my pain, through my broken heart, I hope you will find a way to heal your own broken heart. Write the things you can no longer say to your child. Write the feelings you hold inside. Write of those memories of your child that make you smile; remember the happiness he or she brought you. Remember, it was so much better to have had that child, if only for a little while, than to never have known him or her at all. Though the waiting is so hard, always remember, when your job here is done, you will meet your child again.
