The three men headed out the door. The sheriff asked the men outside to accompany them. They headed down the street to the bank and found it locked. Looking in the windows, they saw a lamp on the desk. It was lit. Blue walked down the alley and looked in the side window. He saw the safe door ajar and the banker halfway under his desk. Blue yelled to the others, "Hey The safe door is open, and the banker is tied up We need to get in there " Jib went to the side door and kicked it in. They entered the bank and went behind the desk where they discovered the banker tied up and unconscious. They quickly untied him and carried him outside; someone filled a hat with water from the horse trough and splashed it on the banker's face.
