内容简介：
Journalist Verity Browne returns from an assignment in Prague with suspected tuberculosis, so her anxious fiance, Lord Edward Corinth, arranges for her to stay at a private clinic in Henley-on-Thames. This means that he can keep an eye on Verity whilst investigating the sadistic murder of his dentist. His macabre investigation comes to a thrilling climax during the festivities for what many fear will be the last Henley Royal Regatta before the onset of war.
