Niece is an eight-year-old who has been living in abandoned buildings somewhere in New York City with her prostitute mother Delores and Delores' pimp Lorenzo. Lorenzo has a friend Carl who tells him of a way to make a lot of money selling children overseas. When Delores balks at the deal, she is killed. The killing is witnessed by Niece, which sets up a time table for Lorenzo and his friend Carl to make the deal thus getting rid of the only witness to the murder and make some money on the side. Willie and Elizabeth are streetwise people in their middle to late sixties. They find out about the murder of Niece's mother and Lorenzo and Carl's plans for Niece. They put all of their street smarts to work to prevent any harm from coming to the child. They are joined by Frankie, a young boy from the streets, who helps them carry out a desperate plan that will save Niece from Carl and Lorenzo.
