My name is Monique Brooks-Washington. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was educated in the Philadelphia public school system in which I took a liking for English and writing. After high school I continued to write. So now I wish to share with the world my passion for writing. Some of the poems are my own life struggles and feelings expressed in the poetry I write. Hopefully you, the reader, can relate. This book is dedicated to my three children, Chris, Tim and Amber, from whom my inspiration comes.
