The title poem, aBeloved Friend, a has been particularly powerful for all those who have experienced loss while conveying hope, simultaneously. My archives comprise a potpourri of poems and vignettes from personal experience. Some from the seventies paralleling my earlier spiritual journey. Some are appropriate today while affecting readers on different levels. Some are inspired by intuitive trips to many countries: Britainas historic mystical land; Peace Prayers in the Sanctuary at Findhorn, Scotland; Israelas energy reached deeper emotions reflecting centuries of bloodshed and war, the roots of many religions, present turmoil, and the courage of the human spirit; walking in initiates footsteps in Egypt where cultural contrast is as stark as in Afghanistan today. The substance of my work is about life: spiritual growth, inner turmoil, resolutions, joy, nature spirits, daily events, beauty, thoughts, feelings, frustrations, inspirational journeys, and perseverance, into faith.
