The dates and facts concerning this fascinating colonist, military man, and eventual governor of Kentucky are correct, gleaned from family diaries and papers maintained by family members throughout the generations. What is not known, but this novel attempts to describe, is how John Adair came from his roots in South Carolina to achieve a prominent place in colonial history.
