Detective Francis De Sales is assigned one of her biggest cases since her rookie year, which resulted in her institutionalization. Now back on the force, years later she finds a murderer preying on mathematics students and professors on the safe campus surrounding the University of Michigan. The media labeled him as "The Crazy Eight Killer" a named earned through his style of killing, the twisting of his victims into the figure eight. And just when De Sales and her new partner Detective Martin Porres have met a dead end, Court J. Navarro an English Literature sophomore at the University of Michigan, is found unconscious and covered in blood at one of the murder sites. Navarro's only alibi is an isolated U.F.O abduction encounter in proximity of the murder, but is unable to remember the killer's identity, which targets her as the only possible suspect or the next victim?
