教科书难读没读懂的时候不要傻里傻气把不晓得的记下来反复看，再怎么看还是不理解，还不如找 别的资源来帮助自己理解。

先要热身！reading a complex text is a strenuous mental exercise. If you dive into difficult material without warmin up, it won't go smoothly.啊亲~

3。这个大概是抹子？
big picture
同样可以jot down the road map u drawn from the text.

4.读的时候要不断的想作者马上接下来会说什么。要不断的用问题攻击自己的大脑使自己不断受到挑战而保持亢奋的兴趣，哈哈哈哈~就是书的参与者一部分一样，而不是被动的读者

6。自己想到的问题让自己想起了什么？personalize ur infomation.
dialoguing! it gets u thinking and keeps u focused. 也很有趣哦因为作者说不定下面的话就是你问题的回答，就真的成对话了！而且自己在这过程想的问题，不就是老师也可能想到的吗？
慢慢的，你问有意义的问题的能力会逐渐提高的孩纸！

7。抓重点
80-20规则无处不在
不要为没有读完所有的东西而内疚了！更高效吸收关键的信息就是无视没有用的信息！

什么是重点呢？

-your thoughts, questions and reactions (也许比课文更重要）

老师上课的重点（重点好多的说ORZ）
开头结尾，黑板，重复，用词，老师对同学问题的反映，
你想到的问题，
老师停了很久或想了半天或很难表达的很有可能被考到！
当老师关注写trivial/ big picture的时候。。。（这跟没说一样）
老师提出的没有给出答案的问题（估计下次考试就要你们回答了）

****不停的问自己什么才是重要，不要总是mindlessly rereading ur old notes over and over, continue updating and condensing them!!!
把这当作一个自己的挑战和游戏，看自己每次可以做到多simplify the notes.

8. 如何paraphrase, summerize内容做笔记呢？
先读然后回想，treat it like a game....这一步我很难坚持哈，惰性比较大
把图的自己翻译为文字
自己有特定的简写和符号
打印吧
用散纸方便
只在纸的一边写，慢慢的你会在另一边写上东西的
不要重复抄笔记，而是要condense, summerize
不要用电脑type notes

上课时：
重复度高的terms, buzz words, pet phrases
自己突然想到的问题要问的
不确定how to spell a word teacher uses, put "SP?" after the word and verify the correct spellinglater
缺课（要避免） 应该从classmates borrow notes as soon as u can

然后把老师上课记得笔记和之前记的笔记整到一起！




9。整理信息
接下来弄好笔记基本可以抛开教科书靠笔记过活拉。
就像不断的洗牌和reshuffling一样，把现有信息不断整合。也许很耗时间，但它可以给你带来新的理解和new insights.

-what items are difference?
-relationship among items?
-items compare in concept

be creative, not too creative
don't rely on pics by teacher and on textbook, translate into ur own picture

U'd better get used to it: Learning is the process of overcoming confusion.

If ur brain isn't a little shaken up by something new, u missed the point.
If u aren't a little scared while you're learning something new, u aren't learning as much as you could.
所以不理解不要着急。这很正常。



准备考试前：
1。Size up the exam
弄清楚要考什么
     可以： 问老师，复习以前的考试，看老师以前的考试copies，问学过这课的人，仔细看笔记寻求clues,review session, skim anything ur teacher has written

2. Get an overview
remember the 80-20 rules

3. review ur previous exams

4.Review ur original notes

5. make sure u can answer the expert and orientation question
这一步要进行得像个游戏

6.condense ur summary sheet on final time

7。Reconstruct ur summary sheet from memory

当复习完后，不要看电视不要聊天不要读报纸了！直接去睡觉！大脑会在睡眠中帮助你处理这些信息！

模拟考试的情景的地方学习。

小组还是个人？depends no ur learning style. first 5 rehearsal steps, especially in sizing up the exam and in asking and answerin gquestions, group was great. for the last 2....individually.

IT'S LIKE PAPERS.
you will be held to much higher standards than on in-class exams. Prepare your answers carefully on scratch paper and then copy them over neatly in the test booklet. If appropirate, typr your answers.



The most important motive for work in the school and in life is the pleasure in the work, pleasure in the result, and hte knowledge of the value of the result to the community. In the awakening and strengthening of these psychological forces in the young person, I see the most important task given by the school. Such a psychological founadtion alone leads to a jouous desire for the highest posessions of men: knowledge and artist-like workmanship.




From a learning point of view, much of what goes on in school seems like a complete waste of time.






When a teacher prases you:
praise is a double-edged sword, teachers mean well by it, of course, but the result is often making students dependent on it. Your sense of self-worth should come from inside , not outside. As a smart student, you work hardbecause you find the hard work of learning profoundly rewarding, not because you've gotten a gold start or a pat on the head.
