i was in the process of applying when i read the book - was very impressed by the advantages that hbs offers to its students, from the world-class faculty and facilities to the best companies and other career advancement opportunities (going entrepreneurial was apparently the "thing" to do).
i do wonder sometimes how many people are like phillip who questioned why he was at hbs, but at the same time, i appreciated his candor in looking at the education overall.
it is an interesting read, especially for those who are interested in pursuing advanced degrees in business because it showcases what a best-in-class business school can do for you - if you were never interested or are no longer interested in business school, this could be a great fictional read for a lazy sunday afternoon!
