总结的从第一次工业革命到2000年的五次大的技术革新时代。每次时代的起源地，标志，代表作品，对于社会的影响，新产业的兴起，制度和组织结构上的变化。

作者还有过多的哲学兴趣和范式研究，所以语言不精练而且晦涩。只需要看她缩写的几张表格，确实不错。
