Lessons from these two losers:
1. They got into an industry without much of a career path mapped out. There is nothing wrong with being money-driven. But you burn out fast.
2. It's hard to be aware of what you are doing at all times. By the end of the day, when they look back at their time spent in the world of investment banking, they became everything they had hated.
3. Tedious work is not meaningless. But you got to see the big picture otherwise you are just a pitch book machine. After joining the hedge fund, it took the guy several weeks to learn to think again.
4. On interview:
"Just a bullshiter bullshitting another bullshiter."
