Better than nothing

主线是描写了科技如何改变了股票交易市场，尤其是几个大的exchange的故事，核心人物是Joshua Levine, 一个大学都没上的程序员，有理想的屌丝，如何孜孜不倦地不为名利(虽然也成了富翁)跟车匪路霸NYSE, Nasdaq做斗争，然后启动了“科技改变生活”的连续剧。

基于该作者第一本书The Quants的比较，这本书在故事的连贯性上稍微好一些，在历史的关键点比较有逻辑。

跟第一本书同样的是：废字太多，阅读体验不好，散文性质，抓不住重点，总想写电影剧本，对于中间涉及到的有关金融产品，金融公司的细节作者自己都不是很懂(作为华尔街日报的通讯作者，真是让人情何以堪)。

唯一值得称道的是，未见过同一话题的书。所以还是可以一看。

Readers need to realize that this is an industry that is shrouded in intense secrecy.

This is really two separate books in one. The first is a bit hyperbollic, silly, and scare mongering account of the dangers of high frequency trading. The second book is a fantastic and engaging account of the evolution on the US equity trading marketplace, best ever.
