must have for students and scientists

This is the book I have depended on since my first genearl biochemistry course. I got confused and felt frustrated and angery after reading some text in another book and this book helped me. Imo this is the only text book you should use for biochemistry. Get this one if your instructor is using another book. It will not disappoint you! The authors kept in mind the knowledge base of students transitioning from organic chemistry to biochemistry. The book is easy for the students to follow. The illustrations are positioned at the right spot with the right amout of imformation to really help you understand what the authors are talking about. I have read other biochemistry books too and the only alternative I would recommend is "Harper's Illustrated Biochemistry" (I found it more concise in explaining particually difficult concepts)
