This book examines the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in development on the macro level (societal, socio-economic, and governmental), emphasizing rural and developing regions. Communication technology's role in influencing and aiding development is a hot topic in policy circles, yet there has been little analysis on the potential impact of ICTs and related policy issues.
