The CD-ROM edition includes all articles that were published in the 10 volume set as well as those of the supplementary volume I. All articles are hyperlinked, animations and 3D objects have been added. Presentation and navigation are managed by DynaText TM, an advanced search engine allowing the user a full text, wild card, Boolean, proximity, and structure aware search. This CD-ROM is available in two versions: network version for PC and UNIX platforms which allows librarians to make the encyclopaedia available for simultaneous use by more than one individual.
