This text presents a selection of the papers presented at the 15th SIDUO Congress. The volume reflects early-1990s advances in ophthalmic ultrasonography. The papers have been divided into the following subjects: posterior eye segment; intraocular tumors; anterior eye segment; vitreoretinal disorders; orbital and periorbital tumours; extraocular muscles and orbital disorders; axial eye length biometry and iol calculations; instrumentation and techniques; and optic nerve disorders. The contributions, prepared by a group of international experts in the field, should be of interest to all those involved in ophthalmic ultrasonography.
