When Alex Kennedy leaves his comfortable job and wealthy family in an attempt to have a positive impact on the people of a small town in the American Midwest, he has no idea just how much of an effect he will have on the town, nor what kind of effect the town will have on him. When a traveling revival comes to town, Alex sees an opportunity to help and soon finds himself in a leadership role in the newly formed church.
