Through Saraas life entertainment played a major role. Enrolling in Amarillo College Theater School for children at age 8 and continuing through high school, she picked up wit and humor generally unseen at her age. When theater became something more of a job and lost that magic it once held, she backed away and decided to major in social work. From social work she learned more about people and how to observe them fully. This led to the birth of Catherine, the character who embodies many of the same feelings and frustrations as Sara. Catherine leads readers on a wacky path of unknown turns and indecision. Catherine embodies the idea of to and fro as the To and Fro Girl.
