内容简介:
Living Deep Within the Shadows of Our Fathers is historical fiction set during an oft-neglected time of American history. As opposed to many of the great works that have been published about the Civil War era, this tale takes on an entirely different viewpoint. It is about the generation that was plagued by post-Civil War history. The tale begins after the American Civil War has been underway for two years. It is the tale of Calvin Courier and his epic journey through life along with the fall of Southern civilization. Along the way, Calvin finds love, hate, prosperity, and the harsh meaning of honor. Nevertheless, he overcomes his misfortune and capitalizes on all of his hardships. In the end, Calvin finds himself struggling for his true identity. This tribulation will take his anger and frustration into another generation of warfare, depression, and deprivation, which further worsen his already eternal death.
