内容简介:
A Man and Mexico is the story of an American manas fifteen-day road trip from Chicago to Acapulco and back. His inability to speak Spanish and his bad map pose problems for him along the way. While living in his truck, he travels through the mountains of Mexico to the Pacific coast where he finds the peacefulness of the ocean and the dangers of unknown neighborhoods. During his long adventure the man begins to wrestle the demons within him from an earlier Mexican vacation that he had taken with his father as a teenager. Fernando is homeless when they meet. He speaks fluent English and Spanish, and the American man invites him along as a companion and interpreter. Fernando agrees to go on the condition that he will be taken to the American border. The man discovers that while seeking out the good in others, he finds the best in himself.
