Born October 12,1953, Sharon L. West was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the sixth child of eight sisters and brothers. At the age of thirty, West had a spiritual experience that changed her life forever. She went from a housewife that freelanced in commercial art, to an awakening of her true and spiritual self. For the next twenty-two years, her freelancing in commercial art flourished, then she recaptured her fine art and sketched over sixty-seven pieces of art. She sold prints of her artwork with her own part-time company. She started a non-profit organization in 1998 and went back to school to attend college at California State University San Bernardino where she received her BA in Advertising Management. She now attends California State Polytechnic University Pomona, for her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. She then realized that she didnat want to go to her grave with a book all bottled up inside her. She decided for her own peace of mind she would let it out. The Clouds Rolled In is the first book in a series about three slaves that takes them from faith to faith in their journey to freedom.
