When Lisa was in her third year at university, her father was diagnosed with Huntingtonas disease, a hereditary neurological condition with no known cure. Nearly 12 months later Lisa decided to get tested for the disease and at 22 years old was also diagnosed with the same illness. Lisa describes her journeyafrom the moment that she receives her test results, falling into depression, being hospitalised, and her desperate will to survive. She describes her painful journey through therapy, how her diagnosis effected her relationships, and how she managed to gain back her self-respect and belief in life.
