Muriel writes these letters to her cousin Johnny. She is an undergraduate in the Space Sciences Department at the Florida Institute of Technology. John is a physics professor there who had to attend a colloquium at Albuquerque. He has brought a newly arrived guest to stay meanwhile at Muriel's home. The guest is Sir Isaac Newton. The year is 1986 and the letters describe the serious and comic happenings of his visit.
