Chris Minzer is an average high-school student who canat stand just being average at Graymont High School in Graymont, North Carolina. He has a big-time crush on Melissa Hopewell, a cheerleader at the school, but she doesnat even notice him. Chrisa best friend, Jimmy Ingalls, is a straight-A student, headed towards valedictorian status. So Chris takes on the persona of aCaptain Cosmo, a superhero, to fight crime in Graymont. His main goal: to do something heroic and prove to the world that he is somebody after all. But it never quite works out the way Chris hopes it will. Every time he makes an appearance as Captain Cosmo, he ends up making an utter fool of himself. The police chief calls him aCaptain Crazy.a The national media picks up on the story, and Chris finds himself ridiculed across the country. Finally Chris proves to the world that heas somebody after all.
