"Southern Baptist Catholic" represents thoughts and feelings written in the beat of life-expressed as best as I, R. Alton, could help the reader visualize. It is about being Southern born and Baptist raised, or Southern Baptist as folks may say. I write not religion, although it is mentioned, but only in order to illustrate hope within divine intervention. Catholic is universal, prevalent to all mankind, so I wish my paintings of words to bring the same emotions across the nation in time. I desire the same fire that put these words in place to be read across the readers as onlookers gaze upon their faces. Poetry of love, pain, hope, nature, and moments that touched my soul in the past, I have tried to capture on these pages. I hope for peace and the best of love for all who read and wish for them only life most amazing.
