内容简介：
Axle Reese awakens on a beach on an uninhabited island where later he finds a cave that leads deep into the island. He discovers that the cave leads to another world. Traveling through the cave to this other world lands him into the middle of a war between a group of magically enhanced Hunters and their prey. Their sole purpose in life is to rid the world of those who are known as the Hunted. Axle accompanies Biern, a Hunter, in his endless pursuit to end the lives of those tempted by the alluring promises of the power granted by the Elixir of Power. Together, the two seek one of the forsaken as she hides in her mountain lair practicing her dark art, guarded by the dragons sworn to protect those who have succumbed to the allure of the Elixir of Power.
