This compilation of short stories is indeed fiction; however, the stories were inspired by real-life events, which have forged changes in my life and in the lives of those whom I love and care for deeply. Each story in this series was written to convey a message of hope, despite the circumstances one must overcome from the past, during the present, and while looking toward the future. As a child or an adult, we are usually not prepared for the mishaps life bestows upon us. Likewise, we do not usually understand the misfortune, nor do we feel we have the unconquerable courage to bear it. However, the human spirit has a power far greater than one used to destroy: the power to heal, love, and most importantly--forgive.
