内容简介:
Over two thousand years ago, in a land that we call ancient Egypt, was a civilization that was very advanced for that stage of our history. Their medical practices at that time still amaze us today. Their knowledge of the human body and its ailments were so advanced that we are still using it as a blueprint today. Into this ancient land entered a strong young woman named Sara who wanted to become the best healer that she could be. She had traveled far from her home with the hopes that these physicians would teach her their methods. She did not know that this journey would far exceed her expectations. It would be filled with not only danger, death and intrigue, but with friendship, new life, and a respect and love for a people and a nation. Take this journey with Sara on her quest to better herself and humanity, into ancient Egypt. As in my first book, The Porcupine Connection, my intention is to not only promote strong women characters but to show that, even after great difficulty, we all can heal. If we allow ourselves to move forward in the healing process, we can change ourselves and have a positive and powerful effect on others. Many characters in my book have experienced much heartache, as have I, but have survived and become stronger for it. I have learned that most of our lessons in life come through adversity, and it is up to us to decide whether we grow from it or die on the vine. I hope that my writings have a positive effect on all who read it. If it does, then I have succeeded.
